Parties Political Film

This, I believe, is the first election advertisement video ever made in the history of Singapore's election:

It is not a "party political film", but a "parties political film". Haha!

Ironically, it is not the work of any political party.

This is bad, because it means that we, in Young Pay-And-Pay, cannot pin the blame on any party, but have to hunt down each and every video producer wannabe! If more Singaporeans decide to make more videos, it's the end of us in YPAP! Luckily, thus far, it seems like this is the only video.

"House-keeping"

  • John Law, the person who first reported on the CDC 8-month bonus is no longer seen on CNA forum!
  • Forums hosted by the government have shut down threads talking about the CDC bonus!
  • PoThePanda was investigated by the police and ISD for his blog!
  • Wendy Neo had one of her video removed by youtube upon NeoStudios' copyright-infringement application! Note that NeoStudios did not make even a single applications on the literally hundreds of other youtube videos that violate their copyrights to a far greater extent e.g. putting NeoStudios' movies such as "Money No Enough", "I Not Stupid" (Link valid as of 25 March 08. Video has been around for 1.5 years since 2006!) and so on, on youtube, resulting in lost revenue running into millions for the company! Money - they don't mind losing, but a 1-minute video (re-loaded without the sound) against LKY triggered NeoStudios to act - or perhaps, triggered someone from some department to put pressure on NeoStudios to act!

What does all these desperate "house-keeping" means?

It means: Election is coming!

We, in Young Pay-And-Pay, are going into overdrive and working overtime every day and night!

Foreigner's Action Party

The Singapore Tourist Board (STB) has volunteered - without having even been asked - to represent and act on behalf of an American tourist in the small claims court, in the matter of an alleged over-pricing incident at Newton Hawker Centre. (Note that the American did not initiate the court case. STB did on its own accord!)

Against this backdrop, Singaporeans must be wondering why not a single government statutory board is representing and acting on behalf of Singaporeans in the matter of alleged mis-selling by DBS bank in the minibond saga? (Note that literally thousands of Singaporeans have asked for the government's assistance in commencing legal action against DBS)

My standard Young Pay-And-Pay answer to these blur-fuck 66.6% Singaporeans is simple:

Do you know what the real name of our party is?

实用价值 Practical Value

Old Fart emphasized that in deciding whether to learn a language, one must consider its "practical value"

Oh, com'on, don't be modest - it's not just learning a language, in everything and anything you Old Fart ever did for/to Singaporeans, you "must consider its practical value"

That's why you want to send sick elderly Singaporeans to JB, because they no longer have any "practical value"!

Your Lao Gecko is now half-dead and has no "practical value", why don't you send her off right now?

Old Fart, when are you going to die?

We are losing our patience!

----------
The youngsters of yesterday allowed Old Fart to exterminate their MOTHER tongue, based on "practical value".

Today, they reaped what they sowed - Old Fart now applies the same "practical value" ideology on them - now in their 80s - and decide to export these grandMOTHERS to Johor!!!

It's called Retribution - they allowed a terrible ideology to be applied on others, now that same ideology is applied on them!

Likewise, if young voters of today allow Old Fart to apply the "practical value" ideology on the elderly citizens of today...

30 years later, when these voters turn old, PAP will apply the "practical value" concept on them and kick them out of Singapore!

What "practical value" are we talking about?

Consider "practical value" when learning MOTHER tongue?
Consider "practical value" when dumping grandMOTHERS?
Consider "practical value" when dumping YOU?

Practical your Lan Jiao!

We should learn our MOTHER tongue simply because it is our MOTHER tongue!
We should honour our MOTHERS simply because they are our MOTHERS!
We should not throw our grandMOTHERS in JB, simply because they are our grandMOTHERS!
What "practical value" do you need to consider?

I hope young Singaporeans today will not make the same "practical value" mistake that their grandparents have made when deciding whether to vote for or against PAP and its "practical value" policies, and suffer the fury of "practical value" when they themselves have no "practical value".

There is Retribution!

This is it.

I hope I have illustrated it well enough.

Ng Kim Ngweng - Can you blame him?

Straits Times
March 18, 2009
A RAG-AND-BONE man accused of criminal intimidation said yesterday that he was made to wait almost four hours to see his Member of Parliament at a Meet-the-People session... as he was leaving, a beefy residents' committee member shouted at him and looked like he was going to hit him, except that Ms Phua told him to leave things be.

Can you blame him for how he felt? Watch the last frame of this video:

Country versus Company/ Democracy versus Dictatorship

The American Government:

Bank of America withdraws job offers to foreign MBA grads
LONDON: Bank of America has become the first US bank to withdraw job offers made to foreign MBA students graduating from US business schools this year, giving its government bailout deal as the reason, the Financial Times (FT) reported yesterday.

The US$787 billion (S$1.2 trillion) stimulus Bill in effect prevents financial institutions that have received money from the United States government's Troubled Asset Relief Programme (Tarp) from applying for H-1B visas for highly skilled immigrants if they have recently made US workers redundant.

The number of international students affected by the BoA move is thought to be no more than 50 but business schools are concerned that other banks could follow suit, the paper said.
...
A spokesman for the bank told the FT: 'Recent changes in legislation made it necessary for Bank of America to rescind job offers it had made to students requiring H-1B sponsorship.'

Jobs on offer: 800; Applications: 20,000
Those are Sentosa IR's hot numbers; stunning response at Sands too
By Lim Wei Chean & Alessa Pang
A JOB at one of the upcoming integrated resorts (IRs) here is proving to be a really hot commodity - with both Singaporeans and foreigners.
...
The applicants, she said, were both Singaporean and foreign, retrenched workers as well as those who had jobs, and ranged from professionals to fresh graduates.
...
A significant number of applicants were also foreigners who flew here just to look for a job.

Filipina Elahn Grace, 28, an English graduate, who arrived two weeks ago, said she chose Singapore because 'it is a safe place and there are many opportunities here'.

Another Filipina, Ms Candy Lopez, 24, lost her job back home as an accountant recently, and decided to come here to try and find employment.

She said: 'I'm just taking a chance to be employed.'

That's the difference between a country and a company - a country cares for its citizens first; A company cares for profits first, over and above anything else!

Btw, that's also the difference between a democracy and a dictatorship - a democracy cares whether its voters are happy or not because votes matter; A dictatorship can't be bothered how its slaves feel, because it knows it will receive overwhelming "support" and "votes" even before an "election" is held!
